Benton's police drones... should Bryant do that?

Saw on KATV that Benton has a trial police drone program going. Covers about 73% of the city, with 10 FAA-licensed pilots they said...

Part of me says fine, if it helps find a lost child or someone wandering off at night. Other part of me doesn't love one hovering over my back garden...

Does anyone know if Bryant PD has looked at anything like this? And how do you all feel about drones over the neighborhoods?

Just my two cents

I haven't heard of Bryant PD looking at anything like that, but I'd honestly be curious. Finding a missing kid or someone with dementia who wandered off at night is the use I can get behind. Same with a crash scene on Highway 5 or a big crowd after a Friday night home game.

What I'd want to know is the policy side. How long do they keep the footage, who can pull it up, and is it only sent out for actual calls or just flying around on patrol? "Trial program" doesn't tell you much. If Benton publishes those rules I'd feel a lot better about it. If they don't, that's the part that bugs me more than the drone itself.
