Went to Fall Fest at Bishop Park saturday. Crowd was good i thought, parkin got a little tight over by the car show tho and I ended up walkin a ways from the street. Food trucks all had lines.. nobody had real smoked brisket that I seen, just sayin ha. Grandkids went to the fishing derby over at Lake Norma and had a ball.
So moving it to Halloween weekend, good idea or not?? Seemed like folks left early to get the kids ready for trick or treat. Curious what everybody else thought
we went for like an hour then bailed for trick or treat too. parking was a mess near the car show, we just parked downtown and walked over. my son had a fall ball game that morning so by the time we got ther everybody was wiped 😅 i think halloween weekend is to much for one day, shouldve kept it a week earlier. fishing derby looked fun tho

I agree with Jordan on the date. When Halloween lands on a Saturday, folks with little ones end up choosing between the fest and trick or treat, and trick or treat wins every time. I liked it better when it was a couple weeks ahead and nobody was watching the clock.
I sat this one out. My knees don't love a long walk from the street anymore, and my neighbor said the same about parking over by the car show. I'm glad the fishing derby at Lake Norma went well, though. That's the part I'd keep no matter what weekend they pick.
