Was looking at the holiday list for Saline County and theres cocoa w Santa at SugarDumplin's on hwy 5 sat Dec 5, tree lighting at Owens-Moody Park in Benton the 6th and the county parade downtown Benton mon the 7th. Nothing in Bryant tho 🤔 MySaline holiday list

A monday night parade is rough with school the next day. Our rec league teams and the school bands would be all over a Bryant one i bet. Does anybody know if its ever been tried or is it just a permit/money thing?

Wich ones are yall actually going to? Probly doing the cocoa one since its close to us. Thanks!

Think Bryant had a small one years back, maybe thru the schools, but dont hold me to that. Closing Reynolds or hwy 5 even for an hour would be a mess tho, traffic gets bad enough already.

Ill prob do the Benton tree lighting sunday. Cold night, bundle up and get some hot choclate. Monday parade is too late for my old bones lol

Ron you're not wrong about Reynolds, it's already backed up at 5 on a regular Tuesday, can't imagine closing it down. Maybe something that doesn't need the road shut off would work better. A lot of the churches out here do live nativities and Christmas programs anyway, so a "drive thru" type thing or a walk-through in one big parking lot seems more doable than a full parade.

I'll probably do the cocoa one at SugarDumplin's, it's close and I'm not trying to fight Benton traffic on a Monday night. Tree lighting sounds nice though if the weather cooperates. Last year it was like 28 degrees and I lost feeling in my toes lol

God bless
